Managing Attorney

Bruce V. Herron is the founder of Herron Law. For nearly 31 years, Mr. Herron’s practice has focused on the area of Workers’ Compensation defense. He has successfully defended clients in all aspects of litigation involving the defense of employers, insurance carriers, public entities, and third-party administrators.

Mr. Herron is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation law. He has given presentations to third-party administrators, self-insured clients, and insurance companies regarding Workers’ Compensation strategies updated statutory and case law, as well as cost-effective, yet aggressive claims resolution. Mr. Herron’s clients have included large national and multinational corporations, as well as small to medium-sized businesses, and franchises. His clients are engaged in a wide variety of businesses including construction, manufacturing, engineering, service, transportation, hospitality (hotel and restaurants), retail stores, and healthcare (including long-term care and rehabilitation facilities). Mr. Herron also represents universities as well as cities and counties.

Before establishing Herron Law, Mr. Herron worked at Grancell, Stander, Ruebens, Thomas, and Kinsey for the past 15 years practicing in the area of Workers’ Compensation defense. Mr. Herron received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Loyola Marymount University in 1991 and his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1995. Before obtaining his law degree, Mr. Herron worked as a claims examiner for Travelers Insurance Company. Mr. Herron is also a former Board Member for the Southwest Neighborhood Development Council (A Certified City of Los Angeles Neighborhood Council).

Mr. Herron is a former Board Member for the Southwest Neighborhood Developments Council (A Certified City of Los Angeles Neighborhood Council) Mr. Herron is a member of the Workers’ Compensation and Litigation sections of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the California Bar Association, the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, and the African American Workers’ Compensation Professionals Group. Mr. Herron was raised in Los Angeles, educated in Los Angeles area schools, and maintains an active profile in the greater Los Angeles area professionally, socially, and philanthropically.
